Our government is no longer under the control of the people. It is now under the control of the elite ruling class known as ‘the establishment”. The establishment politicians no longer listen to those who elect them, they listen to those who fund them. They throw the voters a bone every now and then and they use budget gimmicks and manipulate numbers to make it appear that they are fiscal conservatives or that they care about property rights, but they are actually taking us down the road toward complete government control and they are actually spending us and our children into debt-slavery.

Career politicians are a HUGE part of this problem. When someone is in office for 20 years or more, whether it be in Austin or in Washington DC, they often forget where they came from and who they are supposed to represent.  Sure, they come back to the district every two or four years to give commencement addresses at schools and colleges, attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies, speak at events which honor veterans, or call bingo at the local senior center, but the rest of the time they are very far removed from our communities and it seems as though they believe they are too good to live among us. Many of them live outside of the district which they are supposed to represent most of the time, but every two or four years they come to their house in the district where they claim residency and pretend to be one of us.

T.J. Fabby really is one of us. He grew up in Red Oak and he lives on the outskirts of Waxahachie now with his wife and two children. He is middle class, he knows what hard work is, and he knows, first hand, what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck because he’s had to do it before. He and his family live in a 3 bedroom, two bathroom wood-frame home and they have 3 vehicles, all of which are paid off. He has no credit card debt and he has a credit score of 736, which is very good. The only debt he owes is his mortgage. At 31 years old, T.J. is in far better shape than most people his age when it comes to debt.

T.J. is one of the founding members of the Ellis County Tea Party movement. In early 2009, he and several others started several different Tea Party groups in Ellis County. He believes that the role of government should be very limited and that one of the main responsibilities of government is to protect the freedom and liberty of the people, not take it away. T.J. believes in the founding principles of Texas and the United States. He believes that our liberty is given to us by God. He believes in a person’s right to keep and own their property. He believes that the purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to preserve our ability to protect our selves from our government. He believes in the sovereignty of Texas as a state and that the federal government is very limited in it’s authority over each state. T.J. also believes that human life in the womb must be protected at all costs and that the pro-life movement in Texas needs to step up the fight. He believes that a state representative needs to look to 3 sources before making any decision; God, the Constitution(s), and the people of the district. T.J. will not be for sale. He believes that elected officials should be servants, not leaders. He will not trade his vote for campaign cash or a committee appointment. He is principled and well-grounded. He will fight!

If you are sick and tired of feeling like you are being ruled over instead of being represented, make a principled choice in this primary election and elect a common man who will be a vote and a bold voice for you in Austin.

Early voting begins on Monday, May 14th and ends on Friday, May 25th. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 29th.
